ImageAs you may be aware, District Governor Julie Phares put out a challenge at the Fall District assembly (just after the flooding in Colorado) to come up with a design or logo that showed Rotary Pride and the Strength of Rotary.  Rawnda Pierce, President of the Scottsbluff/Gering Rotary Club came up with the design for Rotary Proud  Rotary Strong t-shirts and sweatshirts.

The t-shirts sell for $15 and the sweatshirts for $25.  The profits will be split between the District 5440 Foundation and Flood relief efforts in Colorado.  Each shirt purchased will bring in $4 to $5 dollars for D5440 Foundation and $4 to $5 for Flood relief.   (The more we sell, the more profits that will go to the foundation and flood relief).

We will take club orders and have them available for pick-up at the District Assembly in Laramie, WY on April 12th. We will also have a table set up at the assembly for those that want to purchase individual shirts.   Club orders must be rec'd by April 1st to have them available for pick-up at the assembly.
District 5440 will take payments via check or credit card.  We prefer to get 1 order form per club and 1 check per club to keep it as simple as possible.  Please contact your club president to place an order or you may download an order form by clicking on this story & being directed to the story page where you will find a downloadable order form.

The application for funds can be downloaded from the download section of this homepage.
The form is titled Colorado Flood Relief Project Application.  The committee will consider all applications, but preference will be given to proposals that:

· Address flood-related needs

· Provide a strong Rotary presence and visibility

· Involve opportunities for Rotarians to provide hands-on service

· Provide oversight by a Rotary club (or clubs) if more than one club serves the affected community.

A participating contribution from the sponsoring Rotary club or clubs is desirable but not necessary.

If you or your club would like to make a donation to the District 5440 Foundation in support of club projects to rebuild areas affected by the flood checks should be made payable to Rotary District 5440 Foundation and sent to PDG George McILvaine at 2823 Olive Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82001-5736.
