I am proud to announce Rotarian Paige Scott, Lee’s Summit Rotary Club, as our District Governor Nominee, to serve as District Governor in 2016-17. Paige was interviewed and has accepted the nomination and will assume the District governor Nominee duty on July 1, 2014.
Paige began her Rotary career as the charter president of the Rotaract Club of Columbia in 2000. She joined the Rotary Club of Columbia, MO. In 2001, serving on their board from 2004 until 2008. She served as president of that club in 2006-2007. Paige served as District Secretary for Rotary District 6080 during the 2004-05 Rotary year and Assistant Governor in 2007-08.
In 2008, she moved to the Kansas City area and joined the Rotary Club of Lee’s Summit where she quickly assumed leadership roles as, among others, Club Secretary from 2009-2011 and New Generations Director from 2011-2013.
Her gift of leadership to District 6040 include, among others, serving as Deputy District Governor to PDG Dan Hall and PDG Kenny Harris and is currently serving as an Assistant Governor. She has served as Secretary Training facilitator and a District 6040 representative at Show Me Rotary (PETS/SETS).
Paige is a Sustaining and Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary Benefactor, and belongs to the Rotary Bequest Society.
