Tom Baker, President of the Pgh. East Rotary Club does the introduction. | | Jul 28, 2010
After taking the stage to the tune of "California, Here I Come," RI President-elect Ray Klinginsmith announced the 2010-11 RI theme, Building Communities -- Bridging Continents, during the opening plenary session of the 2010 International Assembly . Klinginsmith said he arrived at the theme after reviewing RI themes of years past. He noticed that only a few spoke to non-Rotarians. "As a result, I decided to search for a briefly stated theme that would fulfill two objectives: the first to explain Rotary to non-Rotarians, and the second to validate our work for Rotarians," he said. "The words I have selected to describe Rotary's current mission and to highlight our achievements are what we do best: Building Communities -- Bridging Continents." Wetzel Forest Hills Rotary Club 2010-2011 District 7300 Governor's Newsletter Editor P: (412) 735-8429 E: editor@rotarydistrict7300.org | | Jun 08, 2010 June… the final issue of "On My Honor". It's a bitter-sweet time for me. I have truly enjoyed putting the newsletter together for you this year, and I loved getting all of your kudo messages every month, sometimes for several days after it was published. The sweet part is that I will now have some free time to enjoy my personal life. Still, it was a labor of love for my fellow Rotarians and I'm happy to know you enjoyed it. | | May 06, 2010 Responding to the Haiti Earthquake Disaster, clubs in Rotary District 7300 are teaming up with Global Links (www.GlobalLinks.org) to collect badly needed, used medical equipment. | | Apr 25, 2010 At this year's Rotary District 7300 Assembly there was a lot of great information discussed. Instead of putting a bunch of links up, I decided the best way to keep it all together was to create a site page. | | Nov 11, 2009 The Department of State has established a toll free number to enable secondary school students to contact the Department directly regarding issues related to their exchange visitor program and their stay in the United States. Effective August 1st, 2009 this telephone number will be in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The telephone number is 1-866-283-9090 This number has been activated as an added measure to ensure the health and safety of these exchange participants. Students have a right to be treated fairly and to report abuse without retaliation or the threat of program cancellation. | | Nov 04, 2009 With the current economy as it is, many Rotarians are being displaced from their jobs. In an effort to help our fellow Rotarians, District 7300 will post their resumes on the District 7300 website. This will allow networking opportunities for Rotarians seeking employment as well as for Rotarians seeking to hire qualified staff. Send your resumes and employment oppurtunities to Marc at webmaster@rotarydistrict7300.org for posting. To see resumes and job postings click the link under Site Pages entiled Rotarians seeking employment. | | Oct 14, 2009 There are several Clubs that now have a presence on Facebook and looking for friends to add.
