New Member Inducted

This Weeks Speaker

This week we look forward to a presentation from our Rotary Exchange Student Rosalie Schwank.

For those of you who have not already meet Rosalie please come and support this wonderful young lady. Rosalie  is currently busy working on her presentation to give to us and I am sure it will be most interesting and delightful for all.

Rosalie Schwank is our current inbound, hosted together with the Rotary Club of Chadstone East/ Malvern. She arrived last July and has been  living  with host families from the other RC in Oakleigh and Glen Iris. Rosalie is at Glen Eira College Caulfield, having finished Year 11, she is now in Year 12.  Right now she is living with the Gorman family in North Carlton and she is going to move to the Henry family in Hampton, after a three week trip all over Australia in March together with other Exchange students from District 9800. In her summer holidays Rosalie attended a Rotary camp in Portsea, visited the Great Ocean Road with Rotarians from the other Club, went camping with the family of her friend Alyssa and visited her rebound host brother in Sydney for 11 days. In Germany Rosalie is living in the city Bamberg which is in the north part of Bavaria.

Last Weeks Speaker Glenn Tebble

Although we were not expecting a speaker at last weeks meeting we were very fortunate to obain Glenn Tebble at short notice to speak to us about his life as a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer. Glenn who has recently had a double lung transplant gave a very emotional and indepth presentation which reached into the hearts of all of us.

Please click on the following links and read about Glenn's experiences his fight with life and the amazing things he does.
